As of about 1:18 this afternoon I was a free woman. Free of classes, stress-induced paranoia and long commutes. Until January that is. And I'm not entirely free, as I'll be working four days a week, but I'm looking forward to my break.
I was not so excited to have to make the trek into town today, what with snow steadily falling and none of the roads or highways properly plowed. But I went in and took that exam and now I continue to hope that the class is curved and that it will positively affect me. At this very moment I've got a cat curled up beside me, begging for attention, a roaring fire and an inclination to fix myself a drink. See below for photos of Frank's first snow.
I'm cruise directing tonight's bloggage of Project Runway. Join us at New Critics for some fun in the comments section, starting around 10pm (eastern).
Congratulations, Claire! You paint a lovely scene of relief and relaxation. I hope that you did fix yourself a drink!

No kidding! I sincerely hope you followed through on that inclination. I certainly did, although it doesn't take much of an inclination...
Remember Libby's rule - if you can look around a room and see five people who are stupider than you, you will probably get an A.
I'm glad Frank is enjoying the snow. The paw prints are too effing precious for words. And way cuter than the rat paw prints I'm accustomed to seeing around my apartment...(lady, that's not a cat, it's a jumbo sized sewer rat!).

Not to give you any more of the heebies than Frank already has, but you know he got those fleas from whatever poor woodland creature he was molesting earlier. Eeeeeeew.

Thank you, Claire, as always for your remarkable photographs. In a world where we're inundated with visual stimulation, and even those of us seeking the unique artistry the camera captures, only to find images grossly photoshopped, your compelling photos never fail to draw me into a clear, pure place that lifts me up.
And I don't care if you do use photoshop, because if you do, I would never guess.

Thanks ladies!! I'm currently dealing with a very slow (and by slow, I mean stupid) customer service person. Awesome! Exactly the way I wanted to start my Friday night! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Congrats to two super ex-colleagues who got promotions this week! You ladies rule!
